Community based monitoring to improve maternal health in Odisha

Oxfam’s project ‘Improving Maternal Health in India’, since 2012 with DFID support, was implemented in 420 villages across 6 states. It sought to improve maternal health status by capacitating communities to demand, access and monitor public health services. In Odisha, CYSD is innovating with films to spread the message on nutrition and maternal health.
