Mankai Bai, 72, is a resident of village Sonoli, #Chhattisgarh. She mobilised her entire #village to stand against the forest felling driven by Forest Development Corporation. We are in awe of her courage and determination. 👏😊🌳
Our thoughts are with the many Muslim #NewZealand families grieving the loss of their loved ones and to people of the Islamic faith – and all faiths – over the world who have been traumatized by this act of mass murder. #Christchurch

“My #mother was very apprehensive about letting me play football. She was concerned that the neighbors will gossip about me when I’ll go out & play in uniform (tee shirt & shorts). No girl in my family has ever worn jeans, so shorts were out of question. Boys in the village used to bully us and pass comments like- they are just girls, they cannot learn football... but we persisted... even when itmeant long hours of practice in the sun after waking up at 5 am every day to make food for our families and attending school later."
Our #MondayMotivation is this all girls football team from Parsa village, #Bihar who are breaking gender stereotypes & challenging years of #oppression with their determination & perseverance.
