Activating village-level monitoring to improve maternal health in Bihar

  • 25 Mar, 2015

Oxfam India's project ‘Improving Maternal Health in India’, since 2012 with DFID support, was implemented in 420 villages across 6 states. It sought to improve maternal health status by capacitating communities to demand, access and monitor public health services. In Bihar, BGVP and BVHA are bringing about a change by forming village level VHSNCs.
