Wada Na Todo Abhiyan is a national campaign to hold the government accountable to its promise to end Poverty, Social Exclusion & Discrimination. The Abhiyan emerged from the consensus among human rights activists and social action groups who were part of the World Social Forum 2004 (Mumbai, India). The need for a forceful, focused and concerted effort to make a difference to the fact that one-fourth of the world's poor live in India, and continue to experience intense deprivation from opportunities to learn, live and work with dignity.WNTA is a coalition of over 4000 rights action groups across 31 states of India, who have come together to link individuals and social groups and engage policy makers on issues of strategic relevance. It is also an affiliate of the UN Millennium Campaign (UNMC) and the Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP).

<h3>The concerns:</h3>
<ul class="list-group">
<li>Government lacks accountability to its own promises and commitments.</li>
<li>Civil society lacks spaces for participation in areas of policy making and governance. </li>
</ul>
<h3>The Objectives:</h3>
<ol>
<li>Governance review of seven states and GOI. </li>
<li>Engagement with Planning commission on MTR of 12th five year plan and experiment with the people’s planning process in six districts where the decentralized model of plan formulation will be adopted.</li>
<li>National and Global advocacy on post-2015 agenda and building up of a global south consensus to influence the same. </li>
<li>Capacity building of civil society organisations on inequality issues in four regions.</li>
</ol>
<h3>Expected results:</h3>
<ul class="list-group">
<li>Create an engagement of civil society with national planning process, policy making.</li>
<li>Feed into civil society voices for global frame work (Post MDG 2015) to combat Poverty.</li>
<li>Mobilise public opinion for the formulation of a People’s Manifesto on development priorities. </li>
</ul>

<li>Prepared People’s Manifesto with massive peoples participation.</li>
<li>Released Performance Review of UPA I&II. </li>
<li>Nine is mine campaign. </li>
<li>Water and Sanitation Audit report. </li>
