<p>
<b>CEHAT </b>(Centre for Enquiry Into Health and Allied Themes) is the research centre of Anusandhan Trust, involved in research, training, service and advocacy on health and allied themes. CEHAT acts as an interface between progressive people's movements and academia.
</p>
<h3>About the Project: </h3>
<p>This project proposes to contribute to universal access of the complete package of maternal healthcare through a social determinant approach. It will work at multiple levels on women’s access to nutrition, healthcare awareness and demand, empowerment of women and delayed marriage; building community capacity for planning and demanding accountability of health delivery system; national and global advocacy for prioritizing maternal health of the most marginalized communities.</p>
<p><i>Action Research Objectives for <b>CEHAT:</b> </i></p>
<ul class="list-group">
<li>Data analysis and writing on the interventions in six states for improving maternal health.</li>
<li>Preparation reports and lobbying material based on the reviews as well as supporting Oxfam India in their advocacy efforts with government representatives, including consultations. </li>
</ul>
<p>CEHAT’s activities for this year will include:</p>
<ul class="list-group">
<li>Review of state level policy documents and studies.</li>
<li>Analysis of PIPs and intervention data for Jharkhand and develop the state policy paper & brief. </li>
<p>Analysis of interventions data for six states and updates the national level policy paper.</p>
<li>Updating the policy documents for Bihar and Odisha.</li>
<li>Finalising the National level Policy Paper on Maternal Health based on the Project Intervention data.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Achievements so far: </h3>
<p>Two state level (Odisha & Bihar) and one national level policy paper on Maternal Health developed by CEHAT.</p>
