केन्द्रीय मंत्री महेंद्र नाथ पांडेय द्वारा, उत्तर प्रदेश में ऑक्सफैम इंडिया के चकिया स्थित ऑक्सिजन प्लांट का उद्दघाटन

केन्द्रीय मंत्री महेंद्र नाथ पांडेय द्वारा, उत्तर प्रदेश में ऑक्सफैम इंडिया के चकिया स्थित ऑक्सिजन प्लांट का उद्दघाटन किया गया।
20 अक्टूबर 2021 | केंद्र भारी उद्योग मंत्री श्री महेंद्र नाथ पांडेय ने आज चिकिया (चंदौली) स्थित जिला संयुक्त अस्पताल में 600 एलपीएम के ऑक्सिजन प्लांट का उदघाटन किया। ऑक्सफैम इंडिया के द्वारा कोरोना के विरुद्ध संचालित अभियान ‘‘मिशन संजीवनी’ के तहत ऑक्सिजन प्लांट को लगाया गया है। इस ऑक्सिजन प्लांट के द्वारा कोविड योद्धा डॉक्टरों को चकिया, नौगढ़ और साहबगंज के आस पास के तकरीबन 204 ग्राम पंचायतों के मरीज़ों के इलाज़ में मदद मिलेगी।
उदघाटन समारोह में चकिया के विधायक श्री शारदा प्रसाद तथा जिलाधिकारी श्री संजीव सिंह भी शामिल रहें। यह ऑक्सफैम इंडिया द्वारा कोरोना महामारी के विरुद्ध लड़ाई के लिए स्थापित चौथा ऑक्सिजन प्लांट है। जिला संयुक्त अस्पताल के ऑक्सिजन प्लांट को ऑक्सफैम इंडिया द्वारा जिला स्वास्थय विभाग और ग्राम्य संस्था जो कि महिलाओं, खाद्य एवं पोषण सुरक्षा एवं शिक्षा के मुद्दे पर कार्यरत है, के साथ मिल कर स्थापित किया गया है।
ऑक्सफैम इंडिया के डेप्युटी डाइरेक्टर- पब्लिक इंगेजमेंट श्री तेजस पटेल नें कार्यक्रम के दौरान बताया कि “चकिया संयुक्त अस्पताल महामारी के दौरान लोगो के जीवन की रक्षा कर सके इसके लिये हम स्थानीय गैर सरकारी संस्था एवं चंदौली स्वास्थय विभाग के साथ मिल कर कार्य कर रहे हैं। अस्पताल अब इस इलाके के गरीब एवं अभिवंचित समुदाय के लोगो की स्वास्थय संबन्धित जरूरतों को और अच्छे से पूरा कर सकेगा। उत्तर प्रदेश के साथ, ऑक्सफैम इंडिया द्वारा कर्नाटक, तेलंगाना एवं बिहार में ऑक्सिजन प्लांट को लगाया गया है। ये सभी प्लांट ऑक्सफैम इंडिया द्वारा कोरोना के विरुद्ध संचालित रिस्पांस- 2.0 ‘ मिशन संजीवनी’ जो कि सरकारी स्वास्थय व्यवस्था को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से चलाया जा रहा है के तहत लगाये गए हैं जिसे कोरोना की दूसरी लहर के बाद देश में अप्रैल से संचालित है।“
उत्तर प्रदेश में ऑक्सफैम इंडिया के द्वारा अब तक 60 ऑक्सिजन कॉन्सेंट्रेटर, 13 बाईपीएपी मशीन, मैट्रेस सहित 82 हॉस्पिटल बेड, 12 मल्टी पारामिटर पेसेंट मॉनिटर, 4 वेंटिलेटर, 105 ऑक्सिजन सिलिंडर, 92 हयूमिडीफायर के साथ ऑक्सिजन फ्लोमिटर, 320 नैसल मास्क, 123 पल्स ऑक्सीमिटर, 125 नेबुलाइज़र, 62 बीपी मशीन, 125 डिजिटल थर्मोमिटर एवं 20000 टेस्टिंग किट, स्वास्थय विभाग को दिया गया है। स्वास्थय विभाग में कार्यरत और जमीनी स्तर पर कार्यरत कोरोना योद्धाओं को भी 200 पीपीइ किट दिया गया है। राज्य के तकरीबन 600 परिवारों को समुदाय सेफ़्टी किट एवं सूखा राशन दिया गया है। इसके साथ-साथ आशा कार्यक्रम के तहत हम लोगों नें 6950 से ज्यादा आशा कार्यकर्तियों तक अपनी पहुँच बनायी और उन्हें सुरक्षा उपकरण एवं किट दिया।
ऑक्सफैम के लिये, कोरोना के दूसरे लहर के दौरान स्वास्थय का मुद्दा प्राथमिकता पर रहा। ऑक्सफैम इंडिया के सीइयो श्री अमिताभ बेहर नें बताया कि “ हम लोग सरकारी स्वास्थय संस्थानों, जिला प्रशासन एवं कोरोना केयर सेंटर तक मेडिकल उपकरण जैसे कि ऑक्सिजन कॉन्सेंट्रेटर, पेसेंट मॉनिटर सीस्टम, ऑक्सीमीटर, ऑक्सिजन नेसल मास्क के साथ-साथ जमीनी स्तर पर कार्यरत स्वास्थय कार्यकर्ताओं के लिये थर्मोमीटर, पीपीई किट एंव सुरक्षा किट दे रहे हैं।

Making Students Computer Savvy
Oxfam India-HDFC stepped in with the installation of Smart Classes/Digital Learning Lab. Under this initiative, computers were installed to make government schools more computer-savvy; these were installed in three schools—Middle School in Indaut Village, Middle School in Rampur Village and the Senior Secondary School in Amar Village—in Nalanda District. Each Smart Class has six computers powered with solar energy. Computer teachers from local computer coaching centers were hired to train students and teacher; the trainers undertook a 52-hour course that were designed by the NIIT Foundation.

Sangita’s Shop
With monetary support from the Oxfam India-HDFC initiative, Sangita Devi has enhanced and taken over the once part-time grocery shop from her husband and is now running it full time. She has added a cosmetics section and plans to do more in the days to come. She is earning INR 3000 every month from the shop.

At 65 not only has she diversified her farming practices and increased her farm income, she is also an inspiration and a driving force for women farmers in her village, her SHG, and her Farmer Producer Group. The Oxfam India-SDMC Trust project, with support from NGOs WORD and Prastutee, was started in the Semiliguda and Pottangi blocks of Koraput in February 2021. The project aimed at strengthening 2000 economically vulnerable, and small and marginal women farmers from the tribal communities.
