<h3>Introduction:</h3>
<p>
Financial Management Service Foundation (FMSF) is a development resource organization, established in 1995 by the Evangelischer Entwicklungsdientst or EED, Germany. It is a facilitating body which assists voluntary organisations to improve their accounting and reporting requirement. It also acts as a resource organisation which helps in capacity building of CSOs in South Asia on Financial Management and related governance systems. The FMSF provides accompaniment services to many international organisations like EED; Bread for the World; ICCO, Netherlands; Christian Aid, U.K.; Tearfund U.K.; Tearfund Netherlands; World Council of Churches; German Agro Action (GAA); Geneva Global; Institute of Social and Ethical Accountability, U.K.; National Christian Council of Sri Lanka; Christian World Relief Committee, Canada; Australian Baptist World Aid and Swiss Development Cooperation in building the financial systems & procedures of their partners. It has around 20 years of experience in the areas of Financial Monitoring and Capacity Building of CSOs on financial management and governance. FMSF has already facilitated workshops for OXFAM partners in past. In 2012 it facilitated workshop of similar nature in the series of eight workshops across the country.

The overall objective of the workshop is to capacitate the OXFAM India partners in the areas of Internal Control and Legal Compliances for better financial management and fulfillment of legal compliance requirements. During the proposed programme, six workshops of two and a half day each will be conducted in six cities” New Delhi, Lucknow, Bhubaneshwar, Patna, Kolkata and Raipur. OXFAM India will provide logistic support, and FMSF in assistance with VANI will provide technical input for the workshop. Customised resource material will be developed catering to the above areas and given to participants for their reference. After completion of the project, reports of each workshop will be shared with OXFAM India.

<p><b>The Programme Goal:</b> To enable Oxfam India partners to have effective financial management practices for better fund management thereby contributing to the overall development effectiveness</p>
<h3>Objectives: </h3>
<h3>By the end of the project period all Oxfam India partners will have:</h3>

<li>Strong internal control framework in place and is compliant to the statutory requirement. </li>
<li>Develop an understanding in the areas of

<li>Internal Control systems</li>
<li> Incorporation and enabling laws</li>

<h3>Expected Impact: </h3>
<p>FMSF would aim to achieve better financial management in the OXFAM partner organization. They would be able to improve the financial management system in their organization. </p>
<p>It also aims to bring better compliance with legal requirement. </p>
<p>The understanding of various statute and applicable provisions would also increase understanding of the participants and would help them in better compliance of law of the land. </p>
