Introduction

CSA builds community resources and equips them with relevant material to train farmers in sustainable agricultural practices. Their work on Non-Pesticide Management has spread into more than 35 lakh acres in the state.

Oxfam India’s association with CSA aims to increase the income and food security of small and marginal farmers, specifically women, through promotion of sustainable agriculture practices. We also work to influence the policy makers and key stakeholders for increased agriculture investments.

Impact by Partner
  • Tracking of agriculture investment done through Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) scheme in Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra to analyze whether the benefit of PPP (Public-Private-Partnership) promoted by this agriculture scheme, is reaching to small farmers or not.
  • A documentation of Community Managed Sustainable Agriculture Practice promoted in Andhra Pradesh and expanded by the state government to understand sustainability of these practices
