Society for All Round Development (SARD) is a non-profit organization established in 1996, which aims at increasing the participation of minority and disadvantaged communities in mainstream development processes. 

In Delhi SARD is implementing many educational projects in the area of improving the learning level of children through remedial support, inclusive education, safer school approach, in close coordination with various funding and bilateral agencies. 

The main goal of the present project is to improve the quality of education through creation of CCE modules for children in MCD schools and to model that activity in 8 schools. 


About the Project:

•Lack of  understanding on CCE and supporting modules for the same

•Old model pedagogy in teaching learning which is more oriented towards memorising rather than experimental learning. 

•Lack of training for teachers in MCD schools on CCE related concepts and procedures.  


Specific Objectives

1. To develop grade wise chapter wise modules for CCE 

2. To enhance the understanding and implementing strategies on CCE


Impact of running this project

•The project will facilitate movement towards a child friendly and innovate approach towards learning. 

•MCD teachers adopts teaching methods which are prescribed under RTE

•Encourage adoption and formulation of CCE modules in the state


Outcomes/Achievements so far:

•Introductory module on CCE developed and disseminated among MCD teachers 

•Full day workshop on CCE for teachers and administrators on CCE and RTE to improve the assessment practices on the CCE approach and promote hands on application approach through CCE.

•Workshop on role of teachers in RTE with National RTE Forum on the occasion of the deadline on teachers qualification and quality. 

•Kyte flying on RTE in municipal school to celebrate Right to Education.
