Oxfam India to host 'Oxfam International Youth Partnership 2010'

Oxfam India will host Oxfam International Youth Partnership (OIYP) Kaleidoscope 2010 at New Delhi, India, on 22-29 November 2010.
Kaleidoscope 2010
Kaleidoscope, meaning ‘a complex pattern of continuously changing sequence of bright and interesting visions’, is the first programme in an OIYP cycle. It is an eight day event organised to build capacity of Action Partners and refine their knowledge and skills to undertake community based projects.
OIYP was initiated in 2000 by Oxfam International and was historically conducted by Oxfam Australia. The 4th cycle of OIYP starting with Kaleidoscope 2010, for the first time, will be held in New Delhi, India, hosted by Oxfam India and jointly conducted with Oxfam Australia. During Kaleidoscope 2010 as well, 300 Action Partners, will be coming together for the first time to live, learn and work together to deepen relationships, share values and enhance mutual understanding across economic, cultural, thematic and geographic boundaries. Formal and informal workshops and discussions bring about ideas for creating positive futures in communities. The event has several components including whole group sessions, smaller group sessions as short courses and workshops known as Learning Market Place, one-day community visit to communities in and around Delhi and a Development Market Place, an Education Fair by Oxfam India partners.
