Finance Manager - Marketing
Financial Management of the Fundraising (FR) Department in line with Oxfam India’s policies and procedures and implementation of best practices and accuracy in reporting. To undertake all statutory functions related to financial management of fundraising, and ensure accountability from all budget holders.

Key Responsibilities
In-House Operations
- Reconcile the collection of all FR locations through various channels via the Donor Management System software being used
- Keeping track of collection through various sources
- Analysis of Return On Investment of each FR Location and its feasibility
- Advise management about cost efficient methods and procedures to optimise fundraising activities for all FR locations
- Interaction with Banks for availing low cost banking arrangements and cost effective Cash management Systems (CMS)
Outsourced Operations
- Vetting of all contracts being entered into with FR agencies to ensure safeguarding of organisational interests and ensuring competitive rates
- Advise management about financial feasibility of each FR agency
- Effect weekly reconciliation between reported and realised FR income and send monthly reconciled figures to the Finance Manager (Programme) for consolidation
Service Agency
- Facilitate smooth channelizing of FR income flow information from Service Agencies through designing efficient reporting formats, check lists etc.
- Designing of proper data flow charts for services availed from various FR agencies
Control and responsibilities
- Capacity building of Accountants of each FR location
- Develop reporting and reconciliation mechanisms for the Fundraising Finance unit
- Ensure efficient and accurate reporting on FR income for immediate availability of Reports to senior management
- Develop a processes manual for fundraising financial operations
- Establish a proper donor management system for capturing of financial data of donors and interfacing with the Finance reporting software such as Tally
- Establish proper accounting system for each FR location
- Periodical Reporting to all stake holders
- Meeting Financial reporting requirements of Institutional and Corporate donors
- Verification of incentives and fees paid to FR consultants
- Facilitating opening of bank accounts for FR staff and consultants
- Interaction with professionals/Consultants and auditors
- Maintain a cohesive environment within the team
- Facilitate smooth audit (internal and external) of FR collection and cash management systems
- Any other work as assigned by the Line manager from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
- Recognised Professional qualification in Finance and at least 8 years experience in providing the whole range of financial services to an organisation, with at least 2 years at a Managerial level and preferably with an NGO or Not for Profit organisation. Preference will be given to qualified Chartered Accountants
- Sound knowledge of statutory and legal requirements;
- Fluent written and spoken English;
- Proven knowledge of computerised systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerised accounting packages and spreadsheets; high degree of computer literacy and word processing skills essential;
- Ability to prioritise well and commitment to meet deadlines;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience in and the ability to train people in financial skills and procedures.
- Commitment to the aims and objectives of Oxfam.
Relocation During the course of employment the post holder may be required to move base on a temporary or permanent basis to any workplace controlled by Oxfam India
Travel Ability to travel within country and abroad as required.
