Job Description: 
  • To provide complete HR support to the Marketing Department through the HR Manager
  • To provide functional and technical support to the Marketing team and to implement operational plans to enhance the department’s performance

Key Responsibilities   

  • Work closely with the HR Manager to support the Fund Raising (FR) and marketing function in line with the organisational standards.
  • Provide appropriate information to concerned line managers in regional offices in maintaining basic standards in HR and also support them on HR needs.
  • Support regional staff to take up HR responsibility in regional offices.
  • Support minimum standards on staff contract management and the leaver’s process of Oxfam India.

Performance Management

  • Support the organisation to implement and operationalise performance management systems and staff development. The incumbent will collate training needs of Staff through Line Managers, at all levels and monitor timely submission of Key Result Areas and Performance Reviews.

Recruitment

  • Coordinate and support the Oxfam India recruitment plan and ensure Oxfam India’s business processes are followed in time. Work closely with all offices to ensure HR administration standards for recruitment and recruitment monitoring.
  • Maintain database of all recruitments
  • Monitor and update the personnel policy, staff charters and salary policies on a regular basis in line with senior management decisions and communicate to all offices as appropriate, with due approvals.

HR Administration

  • Management of centralized HR records for all offices as per Oxfam’s standards. Provide timely information to line managers to follow up on end of probation, end of contract etc.
  • Compile HR reports for headcount, recruitment monitoring and quarterly monitoring reports.
  • Support Human Resource Manager and the India team in carrying out internal HR audit in all FR offices as required.
  • Be responsible for the HR Administration of Oxfam India and act as the first point of contact to answer HR queries of FR staff and consultants.

Management of Payroll and Staff Insurance

  • Computation of monthly pay and compensation benefits of staff and consultants.
  • Maintain & update leave particulars of employees.
  • Maintain & update insurance and gratuity particulars of staff.
  • Managing email ID’s for staff.

Training and development

  • Planning the career growth plan for the FR staff and consultants
  • Organising training schedules for full and formal induction of all FR staff and inculcating the Oxfam ways of working in such staff
  • Arrange project visits for Donors/others in consultation with the FR department and the Programme department
  • Gender and cultural sensitivity and commitment and understanding of the values of Oxfam and the principles of equal opportunity.

Qualifications and Skills         

  • Basic HR qualification with 6 years experience, with atleast 3 years in an active HR profile.
  • Clear drafting and oral skills and ability to produce basic reports using technology as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of appropriate HR practices.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Motivational skills.
  • Ability to overcome challenges and resolution of the same, consistent with Oxfam’s values and ways of working.
  • Organisational awareness.
  • Ability to support managers and staff from a distance.
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrable ability to work as a member of a diverse team.
  • Ability to gather and analyse critical information for reporting and designing systems.

Relocation   During the course of employment the post holder may be required to move base on a temporary or permanent basis to any workplace controlled by Oxfam India

Travel   Willingness to travel within country and abroad as required.
